Croquis__
Croquis is every fashion designer’s secret weapon and it could be yours too...
Profesional designers don’t have time to redwraw a template from scratch whenever they want to design a garment. Often, they will reuse the same figure photocopying as necesseary.
Often, people say how frustasted they are that something looks faboulus in their mind but never translates onto paper,
Wellllll....
One final trick to tell you : you may not to be ashamed to act as the same as the profesional designers do...
Measurements__
Somethings to keep in mind for taking accurate measurements :
1. To avoid the dreaded “rubber band” effect, keep the tape measure slack enough that the person being measured can breathe.
2. It’s best to wear the type od undergarments that you feel would work with clothes you’re making.
3. Heel height can dictate your posture and when your hem will fall, so wear the same shoes or heel height you plan on wearing with outfit while you’re being measured
Color__
From the sultriest tangerine hue, to the palest dove gray, color breathes life into your designs. Color can make a disparate group of designs seem unified, make a lightweight fabric seem wintery, or a heavy fabric seem light as air.
